Will Membership PLUS Run on Microsoft Vista?
Windows Vista was released after the latest version of Membership PLUS therefore we are limited in supporting the software when installed on a machine using Windows Vista.Vista is the next version of Windows for clients and servers. The most noticeable change from Windows XP to Vista is a significantly redesigned user interface called Aero, which stands for "authentic, energetic, reflective and open." Other additions are a faster and customizable search engine and XML-based specification for creating documents similar to Portable Document Format (PDF) files.

If you experience an issue updating or installing MemberShip Plus on a workstation, such as an error indicating that you need a logical mapped drive, this involves Vista using UNC mapping.

To be able to logically map Vista, the User Account Control (UACmust be disabled.

 To disable UAC:

  1. On the Windows Taskbar, click Start, then select Control Panel.
  2. Click User Accounts

  3. Click User Accounts again.

  4. Click Turn User Account Control on or off

  5. Deselect Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer, then click OK.

  6. You will be prompted to restart your computer. Please do so at this time.

If UNC mapping exists in My Computer, you can disconnect that drive and then logically map. Then setup the workstation. If desired you can then re-enable the UAC. Reboot the computer for UAC to then take affect.

If you are having problems with the screens drawing completely you can change the keyboard settings.

    To change settings:

    1. Access the Vista Control Panel.
    2. Select the Ease of Access option. Image 1
    3. Under Ease of Access Center, select Change how your keyboard works. Image 2
    4. Under Make it easier to use keyboard shortcuts, select Underline keyboard shortcuts and access keys. Image 3
