- How do I create a backup in Membership PLUS Version 11?


- The Membership PLUS Backup and Restore program is located outside of the Membership PLUS program. All Membership PLUS programs must be closed before making a backup or restoring data.

This includes Contributions @ Home and Membership PLUS Quick Viewer. |
To create a backup:
- From the desktop, select the MPBackup
icon.
OR Select the Membership Backup - Restore Program from the Membership PLUS program group.
- Click Backup on the Membership PLUS Backup - Restore window.

- In the Backup window, make the following selections:
| Select a Backup destination folder: |
The default destination folder is C:\MPBackup. The program saves all backup files in this folder unless a different location is specified. If a different location is preferred, select the destination folder by clicking the Ellipse next to the Select a Backup destination folder field, and browsing to the desired location. |
| Select Dataset(s) to be backed up up: |
The dataset to be backed up is usually located in a MP###Data folder (### denotes the Membership PLUS version) on your computer or network. It is necessary to know the location of the dataset that is to be backed up. Select the Membership PLUS data that is to be backed up by clicking the Ellipse next to the Select Dataset(s) to be backed up field, and browsing to the specific dataset. If you wish to backup ALL of your datasets, your Select Dataset will be the MP##Data folder. (## denotes the Membership PLUS version). |
- Once the Backup destination folder and dataset to be backed up have been determined, selected, and appear correctly in the Membership PLUS Backup window, click the Backup button in the top right hand corner of the screen.

- Select Yes to include reports in the backup or click No to exclude the reports from the backup.
- A confirmation message will appear for verification of the dataset that has been selected to backup. If correct, click Yes, and the backup program will continue.

If incorrect, select No and make the necessary changes in the Membership PLUS Backup window as instructed above. |
- A progress bar will appear once the backup begins and will continue during the backup procedure until completion. Click OK to the confirmation message.
